Main Line Health offers fully accredited fellowships. Physicians receive excellent training and are given the tools to meet today's changing health care needs. Our programs offer academic and clinical challenges in an environment of suburban and urban communities that offer excellent prospects for your fellowship, your family and your future in medicine. Applications are processed through ERAS.
Main Line Health is committed to the health and wellness of our employees. With that goal in mind, Main Line Health implemented the “Tobacco and Nicotine Use Impact on Employment Policy” aimed at reducing the use of tobacco and nicotine products among Main Line Health employees. As part of the policy, applicants must certify that they have not used tobacco products or nicotine in any form in the 90-day period prior to submitting an application to Main Line Health, and that they will remain tobacco free during their employment with the health system.

Fellowship programs we offer
Administrative Fellowship
Over a 12 month period, the Fellow will have exposure to a wide range of projects and opportunities in which they will gain exposure to areas such as corporate structure, quality, performance improvement, marketing, finance, front line operations, and high-level strategic planning.
Cardiovascular Diseases
Our program offers a comprehensive cardiovascular disease training experience combining outstanding academic teaching in didactic, small group and bedside settings with direct patient care.
Interventional Cardiology
The Interventional Cardiovascular Fellowship at Lankenau Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education certified and has been training two trainees each year for over twenty-five years.
Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
Our cardiac electrophysiology fellowship is a clinically-oriented, procedurally-heavy training program. We have two state-of-the-art electrophysiology labs that are concomitantly running, with a diversity of complex procedures.
Gastroenterology
The Gastroenterology Fellowship Program at Lankenau Medical Center blends the academics of a university institution with the personalized experience of a community hospital.
Hematology/Medical Oncology
The curriculum for the Lankenau Medical Center Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship is designed to provide fellows with the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients and illnesses, as well as to pursue scientific and academic knowledge and achievement.
Perioperative Fellowship
We have a Perioperative Fellowship Program if you’re a registered nurse interested in becoming an OR nurse. The program is offered separately for new graduate nurses and experienced acute care nurses interested in making the transition to the operating room.
Pulmonary/Critical Care
Our program is comprised of a total of six fellows, with two fellowship positions offered per year. Our high faculty to trainee ratio offers our fellows a superior educational experience, while our broad range of patients provides exposure to all areas of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Resident/fellow contract
It is the responsibility of Main Line Health's Institutional Official for Graduate Medical Education to provide all applicants to our Residency training programs with a copy of the complete and accurate contract that the applicants would be expected to sign should they match with one of our programs via the NRMP match.

Patient Safety, Quality Initiatives and Research
Lankenau Institute for Medical Research’s mission is to advance health and well-being through research to improve the detection and treatment of disease, the rapid transfer of new technology to the clinical setting, and the training of the next generation of scientists and physicians. The scientists, physicians and clinicians at Lankenau are leading or participating in hundreds of clinical studies to advance treatment for cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other areas of medicine. As a resident, you will have opportunities to join in clinical or bench research projects with dedicated research rotations.
