Accepting new patients
Headshot of Michael M. Mikhail, MD

Chose to practice medical oncology and hematology because of the loss of young niece with leukemia and close friend with cancer in the 1970's. Since then I started my journey of medical school and specialization in this field. I treat every patient as my family, there is a lot of emotions that goes with the diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Every phase of the journey has its' own struggle and there is no way the patient and the family can be left alone to deal with the issues and the burden of the disease. In addition to applying the best treatment available I always think of what is coming down the pipeline and how and when to implement the new treatment, I like to be on top of things, especially in this slick disease. Most important for me is to give the patient enough time to ask question and get all there complaints, all symptoms that of concern to you are to me too, all your life is important to me, not just the disease but other organs, whole body, mind and soul are important to me as they are to you. I treat people as I would like to be treated and comforted.

As mentioned in my philosophy of practice you are important to me as a whole not just the disease process we are dealing with you as a whole, your mental and physical struggle are my responsibility, will travel the journey together.
