Rick Mankin, MD
Division President

Since his arrival in 2013, Dr. Mankin has overseen the growth and evolution of MLHC, which has doubled its size and scope in his tenure. He co-led the foundation of Main Line Health’s clinically integrated network, Main Line Health Physician Partners, combining MLHC with Main Line Health’s extensive independent medical staff to present a cohesive “virtual group practice” to patients, payers, and employers. He serves in physician leadership and on the Board of Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization, one of the larger ACO’s in the country. He remains clinically active as a family physician in Newtown Square.

Prior to joining MLHC in April 2013, Dr. Mankin served for 10 years as chief executive officer and 7 years as chief medical officer for Temple Physicians Inc., the community-based physician group of Temple Health. He was previously a partner in Southern California Permanente Medical Group, in Los Angeles, and a founding physician of HealthSpring Medical Group. He was named Microsoft US Physician of the Year in 2001.

A graduate of Haverford College and Temple University School of Medicine, Dr. Mankin completed his Family Practice residency at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Connecticut.

Michelle Delp
Division Vice President, Administration

Michelle has been involved in physician practice management for over 15 years, and started with MLHC in 1995. During this time she has managed a broad mix of practice specialties. In her role, she is involved in the development of strategic initiatives for the MLHC practices, and she also has oversight of many MLHC departments. Michelle holds an MBA with an emphasis in health care management from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She received her BS in health policy and administration from Penn State University. She completed administrative internships at the Geisinger Medical Center and at Buffalo General Hospital.

Dawn M. Tice, RN, BSN, MS-HA
Division Vice President, Clinical Operations

Dawn returns to Main Line Health after 11 years as MLHC's executive director of practice performance and quality. She was previously director of quality improvement and the patient safety officer for Penn Medicine: clinical care associates and was instrumental in the design and implementation of a robust ambulatory quality strategy that included leading patient-centered practice transformation resulting in 20 NCQA, level 3 patient-centered medical home (PCMH) recognized practices, the implementation of centralized care management, and systemwide adoption of population management.

Prior to her employment at Penn, she was a quality improvement consultant for the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physician Foundation in Harrisburg, and one of three quality improvement coaches (IPIP) supporting practice transformation for state-wide practices participating in Pennsylvania's Chronic Care Initiative—led by the Governor's Office for Health Care Reform. She continued that same work as a quality consultant supporting practice transformation for the nation 's largest physician-led Residency Program Collaborative. Dawn presents nationally on the topics of implementation of patient-centered medical home, the chronic care model, and transitions of care.

Dawn received her formal clinical training as a registered nurse at West Chester University and completed her business degree from Eastern University. Dawn's experience in collaborating with with health care organizations and industry stakeholders drivers her expertise in the areas of clinical operations, care management and coordination, delivery system redesign using LEAN methodologies, pay-for-performance, implementation of the chronic care model, and patient-centered medical home transformation.

Seth Rubin, MD
Network Medical Director

Dr. Rubin joined Main Line HealthCare in 2010 and has served as a Medical Director since 2015.  In addition to his role as Medical Director, Dr. Rubin serves the Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization as an Associate Medical Director and a member of its Board.  He remains clinically active as a family physician in Bryn Mawr.  He has served as a faculty member for family medicine residency programs since 2004, first at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program and currently at the Main Line Health – Bryn Mawr Family Practice Residency Program.

Prior to joining MLHC, Dr Rubin earned a BA in Biology and minored in Law, Medicine and Health Policy at Brandeis University.  He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program.  He later earned a Certificate of Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Chatham University.

Jonathan Arend, MD
Medical Director, Primary Care and Population Health

Dr. Arend joined Main Line HealthCare in 2020 as Medical Director for Primary Care and Population Health. He works closely with the President to guide the services of primary care physicians across the Main Line HealthCare physician network. His areas of focus include clinical operations, clinical quality, patient safety, resource utilization, and transformation of care delivery. Dr. Arend is also a member of the teaching faculty of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Lankenau Medical Center. He practices internal medicine at Main Line HealthCare Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center, where he cares for a socioeconomically and culturally diverse panel of patients residing in West Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.

Prior to his position at Main Line HealthCare, Dr. Arend served as Medical Director for Population Health for the Mount Sinai Health System and a clinician educator in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he held the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine. His scholarly contributions focused on chronic disease management, health care delivery innovation, quality improvement, and population health management.

Dr. Arend received his undergraduate degree from the University of Puget Sound and his MD from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency training in the Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine Residency Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Arend is also an alumnus of the Clinical Quality Fellowship Program sponsored by the Greater New York Hospital Association and the United Hospital Fund.

Kimberly Albaugh
Physician Contract & Compensation Manager

Kimberly concentrates her expertise on the development and maintenance of physician compensation and employment contracts. Her background also includes preparation of detailed financial statements and associated variance analysis, bi-weekly payroll and trust services. Kimberly holds a Bachelor's Degree in accounting from Widener University and has over 18 years experience in health care finance.

Talia Aukers
Division Director, Primary Care Services

Talia returned to Main Line HealthCare in 2013 after working as the director of physician practices for the Mercy Health System managing primary care as well as specialty practices. She has more than 15 years experience in physician practice management, to include her employment at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital, Scott White Hospital in Texas, and University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. Her experiences include strategic planning for growth, expansions, acquisitions, and successions; implementation of "best practice" models; physician recruitment; and implementation of EPM/EMR, as well as patient portal, meaningful use and patient-centered medical home (PCMH) at the practices. Talia earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. She also has a Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois.

Jackie Bertoline
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Jackie has been involved in physician practice management as well as billing management for 18 years and started at MLHC in 2009. Her expertise includes improving front-end processes and standardization of practice procedures, as well as EMR/EPM implementation. Jackie holds a Bachelor's Degree in business and finance from Mount Saint Mary's University.

Hannah Borger
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Hannah joined MLHC in May 2019. She has a decade of health care experience with prior employment with St. Luke's University Health System, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Crozer-Keystone Health System. Her career path started with front end office operations then transitioned to practice and department management. Hannah is currently working towards her MBA from Temple's Fox School of Business. She received her Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, and minored in public service at the University of Pittsburgh. Hannah’s current portfolio includes general primary care practices along with numerous education programs including the internal, family, and OB/GYN medicine residencies.  She also has operational oversight for the Hem/Onc and GI fellowships located at Lankenau Medical Center.

Kyle Brown, MSN, RN
Director, Clinical Transformation & Network Integration

Kyle joined Main Line HealthCare in 2014 and brings more than 15 years of acute and ambulatory health care experience to our organization. Prior to accepting his current position as the Director of Clinical Transformation and Network Integration, Kyle served as MLHC’s Director of Quality and Clinical Operations and was responsible for the network’s value-based performance efforts. He has significant experience in clinical process improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered care transformation.

Prior to his employment with MLHC, Kyle was on active duty with the United States Navy Nurse Corps. Upon graduation from Officer Development School, he was assigned to the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD where he worked as a surgical trauma nurse. Following a deployment onboard the USNS Comfort, he returned to NNMC as an emergency department nurse. In 2011, Kyle was assigned to the U.S. Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy where he served as the primary care division officer and the hospital's public affairs officer.

Kyle completed his BSN at West Chester University, and he holds a master’s degree in nursing leadership and health care management from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Samantha Brown, BSN, RN
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Samantha joined MLHC in 2016 as a clinical practice manger, overseeing practice operations at the Exton Square Health Center. She joined MLHC's corporate leadership team in 2018 as regional operations administrator for primary care. Samantha comes to MLHC with more than 10 years of clinical and management experience in a variety of inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Prior to joining MLHC, Samantha was the clinical lead nurse at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia specialty care center in King of Prussia, where she assisted with the relocation and growth of ambulatory subspecialty practices in the Philadelphia suburbs. Samantha had relocated to the area after spending three years in Naples, Italy, where she worked as a government service nurse for the U.S. Navy. She started her nursing career as a pediatric ER/trauma nurse at Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C.

Samantha holds her Bachelor's degree in nursing and has a special interest in the optimization of operational workflows to increase positive patient outcomes and provider efficiency.

Joseph Carbaugh, MPH
Director, Network Development

Joseph joined MLHC in 2021 and brings over 12 years of physician enterprise performance improvement experience to the organization.

Prior to joining MLHC, Joseph served as an Associate Director for Guidehouse (formerly known as Navigant Consulting, Inc.) where he led several physician enterprise performance improvement engagements for various medical groups across the United States. During his time at Guidehouse, Joseph spent nearly 2 years at Main Line Health in a consultative capacity during the Performance Excellence 2020 partnership between Main Line Health and Guidehouse. Joseph also worked at Tenet Healthcare (in the Philadelphia market) initially as Regional Director of Physician Integration and subsequently as a Regional Director of Performance Improvement. Prior to Tenet, he worked at Huron Consulting Group, Accenture and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Joseph earned his BS in Health Promotion from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and his MPH from Drexel University. Additionally, he completed a two-year post-graduate Administrative Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Phil DeAngelis
Director, Revenue Cycle

Phil has worked for physician networks, hospitals, and health insurance carriers for the past 18 years. He has directed and managed the Central Business Office (CBO) operations for multiple physician networks in numerous specialties. In his present position, Phil is responsible for the administrative, operational, and financial oversight of reimbursement services for the MLHC network. He has consulted with physician groups, health systems, and industry observers on revenue cycle improvement strategies and technologies.

Dawn DiDonato
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Dawn joined Main Line Health in 2009. She has worked in various behavioral health settings since 2005 in both clinical and administrative roles. She is experienced in patient access, utilization review, business administration, payer contracting, credentialing, and revenue cycle. Dawn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from Temple University. In 2019, she completed the Executive Healthcare Leadership and Healthcare Change Leadership certificate programs at Cornell University. Dawn will graduate in 2022 with her Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree from Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Barbara Ebling, MBA
Division Director, Cardiology Practices

Barb has been involved in physician practice management and the cardiovascular service line since 1996, and started here at MLHC in 2017. She has extensive experience in operation improvement, business development, strategic planning, practice acquisition and financial and operational leadership. She is a Six Sigma green belt. Her primary focus has been managing large groups and creating initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability, while ensuring an excellent patient experience.

Prior to Main Line Health Care, Barb was director of cardiology for Advocate Health Care, based in Chicago, Ill. There she integrated new cardiology practices, negotiated physician contracts, and implemented the electronic medical records. She earned a MBA in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University.

Jenna Foote
Manager, Credentialing

Jenna is responsible for managing the credentialing and onboarding for all providers into the Main Line HealthCare multi-specialty network. She comes to us with 10 years of Credentialing experience and has previously worked for Crozer-Keystone Health System, Nemours/A.I DuPont Hospital for Children, Kennedy Health System and Cooper University Hospital as a medical affairs credentialing coordinator; in addition, she holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Millersville University. Jenna joined MLHC in 2017 as a Credentialing Coordinator and was promoted to Lead Credentialing Coordinator in 2019.

Juliana Gruber-May, MSN, RN
Director, Ambulatory Care Management and Coordination

Juli is a health care administrator with more than 20 years of diverse health care background and joined MLHC in 2019. Her experience includes care management, patient advocacy, hospital operations, practice management, and system-wide program development. During her tenure in academic medicine, she held a variety of roles including regional director for clinical practice, department director for system operations, and associate vice president for support services. Additionally, Juli has been a regional administrator for a care management company, as well as an independent patient advocate consultant. Juli holds a Master's in Nursing Administration from Loyola University of Chicago and received her Bachelor's in Nursing from Saint Louis University.

Vicki Vitacco Hansell, MSN, RN, CSSBB
Director, Quality

Vicki joined Main Line HealthCare in 2017 as the Project Manager of Quality & Patient Safety. In her current role, Vicki focuses on clinical quality, clinical operations, patient safety, regulatory, and care delivery.

Prior to joining MLHC, Vicki earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Case Western Reserve University and minored in Sociology. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in Nursing and Healthcare Administration and earned a certificate in Human Resources Management from the Wharton School of Business. Vicki is a certified ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt.

Gail Harrington
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Gail has worked in hospital and physician practice management for more than 12 years. She has worked in large private and faculty practice models developing strategic plans, recruiting physicians, establishing and opening satellite offices, reviewing practice operations to maximize efficiencies and improve patient, staff and physician satisfaction and engagement.

A registered nurse with a BSN from Eastern University and an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, Gail has worked in various roles within Main Line Health since 2004. Her current responsibilities are to oversee the physician practices in the women's health service line across MLHC.

Betty Anne Knowles
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Betty Anne Knowles joined MLHC in 2013. She has been at the forefront of health care change and on the front line of primary care practice transformation for the last decade, working collaboratively to support improvements in patient care, coordination and outcomes. In addition, she helped develop and operationalize non-primary care specialty service lines and integrate new models for sustained care delivery at some of the larges health care practices in the Philadelphia area.

Previously a senior practice administrator at University of Pennsylvania's Clinical Care Associates, Betty Anne helped lead the organization's initial approach to patient-centered care, resulting in NCQA level 3 patient-centered medical home (PCMH) recognition. She was chosen as one of the founding members of that system's "Best Practice Team," a group charged with identifying, piloting, and spreading best-in-medicine practices across the system.

Betty Anne has extensive experience with EMR installation and optimization and was the winner of several quality awards during her tenure at Penn. She was recognized for her work in the Performance Improvement in Action project to improve in-system leakage. She attended Widener University and is completing a degree in Leadership at Villanova University.

Michele D. Landis, MBA
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Michele joined Main Line HealthCare in 2018 and has been in physician practice management and health care administration since 2000. During her career she has led operations in multiple areas including primary care, as well as several medical and surgical specialties.

Prior to joining Main Line HealthCare, she held administrator and director roles for some of the largest health systems in the Lehigh Valley including St. Luke's University Health Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network. Michele has extensive experience in strategic planning, physician relations, and in building high performing teams. She earned her MBA with a focus in health care systems management from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa.

Amanda Martin
Manager, Finance

Amanda joins the MLHC team as a Finance Manager to lead the annual budget process, manage the general ledger function and provide analysis for senior leadership. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting and earned a Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from Wilmington University. Amanda has 13 years of experience in healthcare operations and financial roles at previous employment with Christiana Care Health System, Temple University Health System, Johns Hopkins Health System and Bayhealth Medical Center.

Throughout her career in the healthcare industry, Amanda's responsibilities have included accounting, financial reporting/analysis,budgets, business plans, incentive calculations, contract management and joint affiliation agreements; she also has in-depth knowledge of multiple information systems and has experience working closely with doctors, nurses,administrators, patients and executives.

Brian Meyer
Director, Finance

Brian has worked in finance departments in several industries since 1993 with experience as a finance director and manager in behavioral health care organizations since 2012. He has supervised teams of finance professionals, prepared and supervised annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, created financial models for new business opportunities and worked collaboratively with senior management to develop and implement strategies for operational efficiencies and financial improvement. Brian is a graduate of the University of Lynchburg with a BA in Business Management.

Diane McIntyre, CPM
Division Director, Procurement & Projects

Diane has worked with Main Line HealthCare since 1995 and developed the purchasing program currently in place for the MLHC practices and corporate office.  Since she assumed this role, Diane has developed a network of vendors to support our practices and fostered strong relationships with those vendors.  Her expertise is in negotiating contracts resulting in lower overall cost and superior vendor service.  Diane’s department has expanded into project coordination collaborating closely with the Main Line Real Estate department on new practice construction and practice renovations. Diane has a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University, is certified in her field, and has 31 years of purchasing experience. Prior to joining MLHC, Diane was a medical-surgical buyer for Main Line Health and sold medical-surgical supplies and equipment for a Philadelphia medical distributor.

Eric M. Mendez, PHR
Director, Human Resources

Eric has been with MLHC for over 10 years and oversees the human resources function within the organization. Eric has over 15 years of experience in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, as well as particular expertise in employment law. He provides human resources consultative direction to physician practices and various entities throughout the Main Line Health System. Eric is a certified professional in human resources, and holds a BA degree in industrial psychology from Penn State University.

Mary Ellen Moakes, MBA
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Mary Ellen has been working in the physician practice management field for over 10 years. Her most recent position was with US Digestive Health as Director of Strategic Initiatives. Prior roles include serving as Interim COO and Practice Administrator for Physician Services Organizations of large health care systems. Her focus has always been on improving operational performance, the patient experience, and employee engagement. Other areas of expertise include strategic planning and implementation, practice acquisition and integration, leadership development, PM/EMR implementation, and clinical documentation improvement.

Mary Ellen has an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University and BA in Organizational Management from Eastern University. She is also a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Stephanie Mostone, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC
Director, Advanced Practice Providers

Stephanie joined the MLHC team in 2019, bringing 10 years of clinical and administrative health care experience. Most recently, Stephanie served as the director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Crozer-Keystone Health Network overseeing the operations of over 130 nurse practitioners and physician assistants across ambulatory and inpatient settings. In her role with MLHC, her goal is to support, strengthen and bring recognition to the roles APPs fill within the organization. Additionally, she will continue the recruitment of high-quality nurse practitioners and physician assistants and strategize new initiatives for APPs that will best serve MLHC patients.

Stephanie also practices clinically as a family nurse practitioner in primary care, building relationships with her patients to improve health outcomes. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Villanova University.

Daria Nasevich, BSN, RN, MHA
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Daria has been involved in physician practice management since 2003 with Cardiovascular Associates of Southeastern PA, as well as MLHC with the Lankenau Heart Group, managing the Access Center. Her expertise includes a well-rounded skillset in clinical operations and a strong 16-year nursing background in critical care. Daria has worked at Lankenau Medical Center as well as at a number of academic health systems in Philadelphia. She transitioned from the bedside to ambulatory cardiology, where she spent 14 years in various roles. These roles have included: direct patient care/diagnostic testing, operational analysis, workflow logistics and process development, standardization, management and improvement. Daria joined the PIVOT team in 2016, became certified in EpicCare Ambulatory and Nurse Triage, and along with the PIVOT team successfully completed full circle Epic implementation at Main Line Health in March of 2018.

A graduate of Thomas Jefferson University, Daria received Bachelor of Science degrees in both medical technology and nursing. She received an MHA in 2014, possesses strong clinical, leadership and analytical skills, and is passionate about improving patient care, outcomes and experience, as well as provider satisfaction. To further pursue one of her many interests in population health, she attended the Population Health Academy at Thomas Jefferson University.

Daria has assumed a new role within MLHC in primary care as divisional director of ambulatory practice operations for the Lankenau Medical Center-based primary care practices.

John S. Potts, DO, FAAFP
Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer

Dr. Potts joined MLH in April 2018. He is responsible for facilitating system wide EMR strategy, implementation, optimization, technology adoption and data analytics for users throughout the MLH network. He also leads EMR integration with the DVACO and population health strategy for MLH. He is certified as an Epic Physician Builder, Physician Builder Analytics, Healthy Planet and Clarity.  He sees patients at the Main Line HealthCare Internal Medicine in Lawrence Park office.

Prior to his work at MLH, Dr. Potts was the associate medical director of clinical informatics for the Clinical Care Associates of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He also served as their lead physician for practice transformation under CPC+. Dr. Potts practiced family medicine in West Chester for 18 years. Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Potts earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine internship and residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dawn Rupp
Regional Operations Administrator

Dawn has been involved in physician practice management and practice operations for more than 23 years and has been with MLHC since 1999. Under Dawn's leadership, two primary care practices she managed simultaneously achieved Level 3 PCMH Recognition. More recently, Dawn has worked as a leader in the occupational and travel health, OB/GYN, primary care and urgent care service lines. Additionally, Dawn is an experienced hospital patient access manager and worked as an EMR Analyst. She has extensive experience in both clinical and administrative operations focusing on process improvements, work flow efficiency and the patient experience.

Lisa Sherwood
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Lisa joined Main Line HealthCare as division director of ambulatory practices for hospitalist medical services (HMS) and Main Line Health Palliative Care in 2020. Lisa holds a Bachelor's degree from University of Delaware and a Master's degree in administration and communication from West Chester University.

Lisa has been working in health care management since 2005. Prior to joining Main Line HeathCare, Lisa was national VP of provider relations for Genesis Physician Services, a division of Genesis HealthCare, where she oversaw physician employment, contracting and ACO expansion.

Allison Zaborowski
Division Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations

Allison joined Main Line Health System in 2015 as a Manager of Strategic and Service Line Planning within Marketing and Business Development, where she was instrumental in developing the Main Line Health Strategic Plan and other service line development. She has combined health care industry and management consulting experience since 2004. Her background includes strategic planning and execution, clinical practice development and expansion, physician practice management and operations. Allison leads complex projects that drive innovation and performance improvement.

Allison holds an MBA from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business. She graduated from Wharton's two-year Executive Education Program and received a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Business Essentials with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Administration and a Minor degree in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. She completed administrative internships at Geisinger Health System and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
