Did you know that you can retrieve and print official letters from your doctor’s office right in MyChart?

If you’ve requested any type of official letter, such as a medical certification to return to work or school following treatment, you’ll be able to access the letter by navigating to Messaging and then Letters from the main menu. Just click on any letter listed to view it within the portal and select the printer icon in the upper right for a printer-friendly version.

If you are in need of a letter from your provider, you can easily submit your request by sending a message to your care team. Navigate to Messaging and then choose Ask a Question. Selecting New Medical Question will initiate a message to your care team. Select the appropriate recipient from the list, choose Non-Urgent Medical Question and then enter your message in the space provided. A member of your care team will respond within two business days.

If your provider is not listed as an option within Messaging, please contact their office directly to confirm that they participate in MyChart and that you have seen them within the past 18 months. If you have not had an in-person appointment within the past 18 months, you will need to schedule an appointment for your request and communicate with that provider through our patient portal.
