In 2016, Cary Beavers had reached, as he described it, “rock bottom.” After years of struggling with addiction, Cary’s behavior had become increasingly erratic. Having isolated himself from his friends and family, his family’s finances had been impacted significantly as a result of his drug addiction. Cary was then met with an ultimatum from his wife, Peg: Get clean or get out.
“For the first time in a long time, I made the right choice and started investigating treatment facilities,” Cary recalled. Which is how, in March of 2016, he found himself at Mirmont Treatment Center. Over the next month, Cary and Peg faced the challenges of addiction treatment together, rebuilding their marriage and family in recovery. Here’s more of their story:
At Mirmont Treatment Center, we provide a drug and alcohol treatment program that treats the person and supports the family. We offer traditional and clinical approaches to substance use disorders, while also being deeply grounded in holistic therapies such as yoga, reiki and mindfulness.
A commitment to human care—treating the whole person, not only their addiction—is what makes Mirmont a special place of healing for our patients and a resource for their loved ones.
