The team of female cardiologists at Lankenau Heart Institute developed this heart risk assessment tool, specifically for women. This heart risk assessment is based on the 2011 and 2013 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Guidelines on the Assessment of Cardiovascular Risk in Women. It provides a score which relates to a woman’s risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD) and is intended to identify high-risk women for primary prevention.
