CME Mission: The mission of the Main Line Health System Continuing Medical Education program is to provide lifelong learning experiences for physicians, and the inter-professional healthcare team, that support their intentional efforts to enhance competence in patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and systems-based practice.
We hope that this website will give you better insight into Main Line Health's CME program, accreditation requirements set forth by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the policies and procedures of the Office of CME regarding the planning and implementation of CME activities.
MediaSite access instructions
MediaSite is the technology we use to record, broadcast and archive meetings in our auditoriums at the hospitals. Physicians can claim AMA Category 2 credit for the time spent viewing activities on MediaSite. Category 2 credit is self-reported.

Med-IQ risk management education
Med-IQ offers computer-based training focused on risk management to physicians and advanced practice providers who are employed by Main Line HealthCare or Main Line Emergency Medicine Associates. The topics satisfy the Pennsylvania CME requirements for patient safety/risk management and pain management/identification of addiction/opioid prescribing. Physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with access to Med-IQ can login using the following link: http://mainlinehealth.med-iq.net. New in CME: Requirements regarding opioid CME
Pennsylvania requires opioid continuing medical education for new licensees and for those wishing to renew their license. There are currently two programs offered by the Pennsylvania Medical Society that will meet these requirements. One of the programs is only open to Pennsylvania Medical Society members, the other is open to everyone. The links to the online courses are listed below.

Addressing PA's opioid crisis: What the health care team needs to know – Includes sessions on opioid prescribing guidelines for non-cancer pain, naloxone, referral to addiction treatment, the Pennsylvania Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), and alternatives to opioid therapy.
