Originally conceived to offer inpatient treatment for alcoholism, Mirmont Treatment Center now provides a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient services for people seeking help for addiction, many of whom suffer from a co-occurring psychiatric disorder. From Philadelphia and East – Take I-95 South to I-476 approximately 6.6 miles from Philadelphia toward Plymouth Meeting (Exit 5). Take Route 1 South toward Lima onto Route 352 North for approximately 1.5 miles and turn left on Yearsley Mill Road. Entrance is 0.3 miles past Penn State campus on left. (Via Route 76 use City Line exit, Route 1 South, approximately 13.5 miles.)
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike and North – Take PA Turnpike to Exit 20 (Mid-County); proceed south onto I-476 South toward Chester. Take Exit 5 onto Route 1 South toward Lima then Route 352 North for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left on Yearsley Mill Road. Entrance is 0.3 miles past Penn State campus on left. (Via Route 76 use City Line exit, Route 1 South, approximately 13.5 miles.)
By bus or train:
From Center City Philadelphia and West to Media
By train – From Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, Suburban Station, or Jefferson Station, take SEPTA’s Regional Rail Media/Elwyn Line to Elwyn. Then take bus route 117 going to Penn State, get off at Penn State and then walk 0.3 miles — about 6 minutes — through campus to Yearsley Mill Road to get to the treatment center.
By subway and bus – Take the Market-Frankford elevated line (the "El") to the 69th Street terminal, and transfer to the 110 or 111 bus to Penn State and then walk 0.3 miles — about 6 minutes — through campus to Yearsley Mill Road to get to the treatment center.
From the airport
The SEPTA Regional Rail Airport Line runs from the Philadelphia International Airport to 30th Street Station, where you can take SEPTA's Regional Rail Media/Elwyn Line to Elwyn. Then take bus route 117 going to Penn State, get off at Penn State and then walk 0.3 miles — about 6 minutes — through campus to Yearsley Mill Road to get to the treatment center.

Admissions to Mirmont Treatment Center are conducted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our admissions office is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Our nursing team is available overnight.
Our admissions specialists will complete a brief phone assessment, verify insurance and review any out-of-pocket costs that may be associated with your benefits. We will answer all questions you have and ensure you can make an informed decision about your treatment options. All information is kept confidential and there is no obligation when you call.

Our representatives will answer all questions you may have regarding the admissions process, which includes a thorough assessment of your treatment options, a review of financial and insurance issues and a determination of transportation needs. What to pack
Patients are not permitted to use cell phones or other electronic equipment. We suggest that such items be left at home.

5-7 days of comfortable clothing and shoes
Examples: Yoga pants, sweatpants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, underwear, pajamas, sandals, sneakers, whatever you find most comfortable. Please note: yoga classes and our gym facility are available, so you may want to pack fitness attire. Sneakers are required to utilize the gym facility.
Revealing clothing, or clothing promoting drugs, alcohol, or profanity are not allowed.
Personal toiletries
Examples: Deodorant (must be solid or gel, aerosols are not permitted) toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, shaving cream, lotion, makeup, hairbrush, electric grooming supplies.
Any item with alcohol listed in the first three ingredients will not be permitted. There is an on-site store available to purchase items.
Photo ID, insurance card, vaccination card (if applicable) and pharmacy card/coverage
Prescription medications — please ask staff about which medications to bring
Cigarettes, disposable/non-refillable vapes, or spitless tobacco pouches
Cigarettes, disposable/non-refillable vapes, or spitless tobacco pouches. All cigarettes must be new/unopened and in the original cellophane/wrapper. All vapes must come new and sealed. Any open vapes will be discarded upon admission. Chewing tobacco is not permitted.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we do not currently permit in-person visits at this time. Phone calls and video conference calls are permitted.

Our program is not gender specific. Men and women are together in treatment, but rooms are in separate wings of the building. There are gender-specific groups offered throughout the treatment schedule to support specific needs.

Our Business Development and Admissions teams play an integral part in the process of patients of connecting patients with addiction treatment.
