At Women's Emotional Wellness Center, our central intake team will screen every patient, conduct a needs assessment and determine the best approach to care (i.e. individual and/or group therapy). At times, there may be limited access to individual therapy.
Program Manager Leslie is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive clinical, administrative and leadership experience. She has over two decades of experience working in acute community mental health settings that address the needs of children, families and adults in emotional crisis. Leslie enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team that provides a holistic approach to the overall health and well-being of women and their families throughout life stages and changes. Leslie's clinical areas of expertise include trauma; cognitive behavioral therapy; depression and anxiety; grief and loss; suicide assessment and intervention; family therapy; and mindfulness. As a strong believer in community partnerships, Leslie has served on numerous task forces and advisory boards that collaborate with hospital systems, school districts, shelters and other organizations to identify unmet needs and collectively solve problems. She has developed and implemented programs to support individuals who needed specialized care; including a Crisis Residential Program that serves pregnant women and individuals with intellectual disabilities, and a teen help line for at-risk youth. Leslie has been invited to speak on a multitude of behavioral health and wellness topics at annual county conferences, community events, local law enforcement trainings as well as faith based organizational meetings. Leslie received her undergraduate degree in sociology for the College of Wooster. She holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice.
